About Me!

Ella Oriye Tani is a Japanese-Chinese Canadian illustrator and graphic novelist based in British Columbia. She is inspired by the nature of the West Coast and is drawn to blending fantasy with aspects of her local environment. Tani is currently studying visual arts at Simon Fraser University’s School for Contemporary Arts and is works at Powell Street Festival Society doing graphic design and illustration. In her spare time, Tani works on her passion project comic The Wild Kids.
