Kelp Forest Abstract Composition

Abstract Composition: Kelp Forest is an experimental sound project comprised of two parts: the graphic notation and the soundscape. The graphic notation is inspired by kelp forests on the west coast of B.C, with each creature and plant then simplified to create abstracted “shape notes”. The graphic notation is then interpreted to make an electronic soundscape, with each note being processed into a unique sound.
